To the Iranian people
To all the fathers, mothers, children, brothers and sisters
For there to be a war between us, first we must be afraid of each other, we must hate.
I’m not afraid of you, I don’t hate you.
I don t even know you. No Iranian ever did me no harm. I never even met an Iranian…Just one in Paris in a museum. Nice dude.
I see sometime here, on the TV, an Iranian. He is talking about war.
I’m sure he does not represent all the people of Iran.
If you see someone on your TV talking about bombing you …be sure he does not represent all of us.
I’m not an official representative of my country. I m a father and a teacher. I know the streets of my town, I talk with my neighbors, my family, my students, my friends and in the name of all these people …we love you.
We mean you no harm.
On the contrary, we want to meet, have some coffee and talk about sports.
To all those who feel the same, share this message and help it reach the Iranian people.
Within hours tens of Israelis posted their own pictures with the same message.
After 24 hours messages from Iran started to arrive. People, moved to tears, wrote back “we love you too”. Today, just few month later, we are a community of 63 countries.
More than 67000 people are on our web-page.
Millions have look at what we create.
New Pages from around the world with the same message and same logo are born every week (Iran-Loves-Israel, Germany, France, Palestine, Bulgaria ,the USA and more) we call this movement for peace : The”WE LOVE YOU” community
For several days the ISRAEL LOVES IRAN CAMPAIGN was the number one item on the web.
News reporters from around the world have interviewed us and relay the message: The New York Times, CNN, The BBC, Al- Jazeera, Al Arabia, Der Spiegel, RTL and many many more from Japan to Brazil, Peru, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Sweden the UK,Australia…..
The word is spreading and we are growing.
Change has begun. Where there was nothing, there is now an open line of communication. Live on the internet
We are talking, we are sharing, we are liberating ourselves from the fear we lived in.
The wall of fear is falling. People share pictures stories, learn about each other.
Every picture is a brick in the bridge we are building
We have already showed that people from both sides of the political conflict crave for
human connection with each other. Crave to find friendly faces behind the iron wall.
Israel-loves-Iran has opened an incredible new line of communication and shown a glimpse of Israel and Iran for the whole world to see. People from both sides have shared amazing stories and images. They started just by saying we love you, and followed by showing their faces and telling their stories.
Through our page we have daily conversations between Israelis and Iranians and people from the whole middle east talking about culture, sport, politics, discovering each other and making new friendships. These friends are tomorrow’s leaders of peace. They are a first of a kind. A new generation. And they’re not going to wait.
They may be scared, but it has started.
The Israel-loves-Iran campaign is the proof.
The first step is to break the circle.
Re-humanize the faces of people in the Middle East.
Peace Has to be VIRAL
